This year, Daybreak partnered with Operation Christmas Child (through Samaritan's Purse) to provide gifts for children in various parts of the world. The kindhearted people of Daybreak answered the challenge and responded in amazing ways! Over 50 shoe boxes were packed to the brim with all kinds of goodies, necessities, and gifts for kids.
On Sunday, November 16 during the worship service, several kids and parents surrounded the table and prayed over these boxes together. The prayers included these three requests: that the boxes
would be delivered to kids who really are in need of these supplies and blessings, that the boxes would arrive safely and on time, and that the kids would hear and respond to the Good News of
Jesus as they receive, open, and enjoy the contents of their box.
We believe God will answer these prayers! Daybreak's mission has always been to shine out Jesus' light and this Christmas season we were able to do this in a very tangible way that will bless kids with the light of Christ all over the world! Thanks to everyone who participated and a special note of appreciation to Shelley Martin for coordinating the effort!
